Abstract
El presente trabajo da cuenta de los resultados de una investigación realizada con docentes de primaria y bachillerato en una institución educativa pública de la ciudad de Medellín, su objetivo fue diagnosticar el nivel del Burnout. Se hizo investigación de tipo descriptivo; y se utilizó la escala de desgaste ocupacional EDO en la dimensión insatisfacción al logro, y la variable antigüedad en el trabajo. Dentro de los resultados, se identificó que ocho participantes puntuaron en un nivel alto del síndrome según el diagnóstico de Leiter utilizado en la EDO, aunque no se puede hacer una generalización debido a las características de la muestra; se pudo evidenciar que existe un grado de afectación significativa en la salud de los docentes, relacionada con su labor.
This paper reports the results of research conducted with primary and secondary school teachers in a public school in the city of Medellin, the goal was to diagnose the level of occupational Burnout. It is descriptive research; as such 10 teachers participated, using the EDO measure of occupational "wear ” the extent of dissatisfaction with achievements and, the variable of years of experience in work. Among the results, although the sample was small, 8 participants were identified as scoring in the upper level of Burnout syndrome, as diagnosed by Leiter and used in the EDO. Cannot be made due to the limitations of the sample; It was possible to confirm that there is a significant degree of impact on the health of teachers, essentially due to their work.
