Abstract
El presente estudio se efectuó con la finalidad de analizar las funciones y alcances del psicólogo en lo que respecta al acompañamiento de la familia con la finalidad de que esta se direccione a incorporar prácticas de corresponsabilidad en función del sano desarrollo de sus hijos o niños y niñas que están bajo su cuidado; para el desarrollo del trabajo se incorporó una metodología cualitativa, enfocada en la caracterización de diversas tipologías de familias y, apoyada en la realización de entrevistas semi-estructuradas realizada padres o adultos significativos de un grupo de niños que en la actualidad adelantan sus estudios en una institución educativa de la ciudad de Medellín. Una de las conclusiones del estudio se centra en que, los psicólogos, juegan un rol fundamental en el desarrollo integral de la primera infancia, en la medida que, a partir de sus conocimientos, competencias y habilidades, puede brindar herramientas e instrumentos de apoyo que puedan influir positivamente en las familias, sensibilizándolas de la importancia de su compromiso en el proceso educativo de los niños y las niñas.
This study was conducted with the purpose of analyzing the functions and scope of the psychologist regarding the accompaniment of the family so that it can incorporate practices of shared responsibility for the healthy development of their children and girls under their care; for the development of the work, a qualitative methodology was incorporated, focused on the characterization of diverse family typologies and supported by semi-structured interviews conducted with parents or significant adults of a group of children currently studying in an educational institution in the city of Medellín. One of the conclusions of the study centers on the fact that psychologists play a fundamental role in the integral development of early childhood, insofar as, based on their knowledge, skills and abilities, they can provide tools and support instruments that can positively influence families, sensitizing them to the importance of their commitment in the educational process of children and girls.
