La fotografía erótica y de guerra en la sed del ojo y los derrotados de Pablo Montoya

Abstract

Esta investigación analiza dos fotografías noveladas del escritor colombiano Pablo Montoya: La sed del ojo (2004) y Los derrotados (2012). La primera se enmarca dentro del erotismo y la prohibición del siglo XIX. Y, la segunda, se lleva a cabo en un contexto de guerra. Por ello, en primera instancia, se observa la postura estética del autor, y se reflexiona en torno a las temáticas qu e dichos textos, respectivamente, proponen: erotismo, fotografía, guerra, dolor. Para llevar a cabo lo anterior, se acude a pensadores como Jean - Luc Nancy, Georges Bataille, Susan Sontag. Desde ahí, se ahonda en los conceptos expuestos para darle a las nov elas abordadas un horizonte teórico y filosófico. De igual manera, el trabajo se apoya en investigaciones precedentes como las de Kelita Vanegas y Juan Felipe Restrepo, pues son dos autores que, en el marco colombiano, han trabajo desde distintos aspectos la obra de Montoya. Y, finalmente, se presenta a manera de resultados una entrevista que se le realizó al autor.This research analyzes two novelized photographs by the Colombian writer Pablo Montoya: La sed del ojo (2004) and Los derrotados (2012). The first is framed within nineteenth-century eroticism and prohibition. And the second takes place in a context of war. Therefore, in the first instance, the aesthetic stance of the author is observed, and a reflection is made on the themes that these texts, respectively, propose: eroticism, photography, war, pain. To carry out the above, thinkers such as Jean-Luc Nancy, Georges Bataille, and Susan Sontag are consulted. From there, the exposed concepts are delved into to give the novels addressed a theoretical and philosophical horizon. Similarly, the work is supported by previous research such as that of Kelita Vanegas and Juan Felipe Restrepo, as they are two authors who, in the Colombian context, have worked on Montoya's work from different aspects. And, finally, an interview conducted with the author is presented as results.
