Abstract
El presente trabajo es un estudio de caso de corte cualitativo, orientado a indagar sobre los niveles de resiliencia en cuanto a medirlos y generarlos por medio de la arteterapia en un niño con Diabetes Mellitus tipo I. Para esto, se utilizaron las siguientes herramientas: instrumento de interacción social para niños con diabetes de Gutiérrez, T, Raich, R, Sánchez, D & Deus, J, test de la figura humana de Karen Machover, técnica narrativa y la escala de resiliencia para niños de Wagnild, G.M. & Young, H.M. De acuerdo a la aplicación de estas, los resultados se agruparon en cuatro categorías de análisis: Diabetes, factores protectores, sufrimiento y arteterapia, algunas de ellas iniciales y pertenecientes al referente teórico y otras emergentes resultantes del proceso de codificación de la información. Los resultados obtenidos cumplen a los objetivos planteados inicialmente, evidenciando la importancia de las consecuencias que pueden traer una enfermedad crónica y el rol que cumple la familia. Además resulta importante resaltar la significación que puede traer la utilización de recursos como la arteterapia en cuanto a la generación de reflexión y resignificación psíquica frente a su enfermedad.
The present work is a qualitative case study, oriented to investigate the levels of resilience in terms of measuring them and to generate them through art therapy in a child with Type I Diabetes Mellitus. The following tools were used: instrument of social interaction for children with diabetes of Gutiérrez, T., Raich, R, Sánchez, D & Deus, J, test of the human figure of Karen Machover, narrative technique and the resilience scale for children of Wagnild, GM & 4 Young, H.M. According to the application of these, the results were grouped into four categories of analysis: Diabetes, protective factors, suffering and art therapy, some of them initial and belonging to the theoretical referent and other emerging ones resulting from the process of coding information. The results obtained fulfill the objectives set out initially, evidencing the impor tance of the consequences that can bring a chronic disease and the role that the family fulfills. It is also important to highlight the significance that can bring the use of resources such as art therapy in terms of generating reflection and psychic re signification in the face of illness.
