Equinoterapia como herramienta terapéutica para niños(as) con diagnóstico de TEA: Revisión sistemática

dc.description.abstractEsta investigación presenta una revisión sistemática cuyo objetivo fue analizar el impacto de las Intervenciones Asistidas con Animales (IAA), específicamente la equinoterapia, en la sintomatología de niños(as) diagnosticados con Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA). Se incluyeron estudios que evaluaron exclusivamente los efectos de la equinoterapia en población infantil con TEA, con calidad metodológica adecuada y resultados en áreas como comunicación, habilidades sociales, regulación emociona l y bienestar general. Se excluyeron investigaciones sobre otras intervenciones asistidas por animales, estudios con limitaciones metodológicas significativas o información duplicada. La búsqueda se realizó en Web of Science, Scopus y SciELO. La revisión siguió los lineamientos PRISMA 2020, evaluándose el riesgo de sesgo según el diseño y el tamaño muestral. La síntesis de resultados fue cualitativa, organizando los hallazgos en categorías temáticas dónde se incluyeron 48 estudios. Los principales resultad os reportan mejoras en comunicación social, regulación emocional y habilidades motoras, con algunos estudios que realizaron meTAnálisis mostrando tamaños de efecto positivos. Las principales limitaciones de los estudios fueron muestras pequeñas, heterogene idad metodológica y falta de seguimiento a largo plazo. En general, la equinoterapia se muestra como una intervención complementaria prometedora para niños(as) con TEA, con implicaciones relevantes para la práctica clínica y futuras investigaciones. La rev isión no necesitó financiación por parte de los autores, ya que se realizó sólo para fines académicos y no fue registrada en una base de datos pública.spa
