Abstract
El sector manufacturero en Antioquia es uno de los pilares fundamentales de la economía regional y nacional. Este sector no solo es un importante generador de empleo, sino que también contribuye significativamente al desarrollo industrial y tecnológico del país. Sin embargo, uno de los desafíos más grandes que enfrenta este sector es la alta rotación de personal, que puede impactar negativamente la productividad, la eficiencia operativa y la competitividad de las empresas. La retención de personal es un componente crítico de la gestión del talento humano, ya que implica mantener a los empleados capacitados y motivados dentro de la organización. La pérdida constante de personal experimentado no solo incrementa los costos relacionados con la contratación y capacitación de nuevos empleados, sino que también puede afectar el clima laboral de los equipos. Por tanto, es fundamental diseñar estrategias efectivas que promuevan la retención de empleados, especialmente en un entorno tan dinámico y competitivo como el del sector manufacturero. Este trabajo de grado tiene como objetivo principal diseñar una propuesta de retención de personal para una empresa del sector manufacturero en Antioquia. Para lograrlo, se realizará un diagnóstico detallado del estado actual de la retención de personal en la empresa seleccionada, identificando las principales causas de la rotación y las áreas de mejora. A partir de este diagnóstico, se desarrollarán estrategias específicas y personalizadas que aborden las necesidades y expectativas de los empleados, contribuyendo a su satisfacción, compromiso y lealtad hacia la empresa.
The manufacturing sector in Antioquia is one of the fundamental pillars of the regional and national economy. This sector is not only an important job generator, but it also contributes significantly to the industrial and technological development of the country. However, one of the biggest challenges facing this sector is the high staff turnover, which can negatively impact productivity, operational efficiency, and the competitiveness of companies. Personnel retention is a critical component of human talent management, as it involves keeping employees trained and motivated within the organization. The constant loss of experienced personnel not only increases costs related to hiring and training new employees, but it can also affect the work environment of teams. Therefore, it is essential to design effective strategies that promote employee retention, especially in a dynamic and competitive environment such as the manufacturing sector. The main objective of this thesis is to design a personnel retention proposal for a manufacturing company in Antioquia. To achieve this, a detailed diagnosis of the current state of personnel retention in the selected company will be carried out, identifying the main causes of turnover and areas for improvement. Based on this diagnosis, specific and personalized strategies will be developed that address the needs and expectations of employees, contributing to their satisfaction, commitment, and loyalty to the company.
