Abstract
This article is a narrative compilation that aims to present the results of various studies that attempt to demonstrate the influence of the theory of mind and attachment on the academic performance of children between the ages of 5 and 13 with the aim of finding whether or not there is a relationship. Articles from studies were collected through scientific journals using different databases between the years 2016 and 2023. Within the results, it was possible to show that the attachment style, established in early childhood, significantly influences academic performance by modulating social skills, self-confidence, and the ability to relate to others. Children with secure attachment present better academic and social results compared to those with insecure attachment. Theory of mind emerges as a key factor in academic performance. By allowing students to predict the intentions and reactions of others, ToM fosters trust, motivation, and collaboration in the school environment, which translates into better academic results.
