Abstract
Neumatological eco-spirituality is oriented as a response to the contemporary environmental crisis, taking into account the interrelationship between the spiritual dimension and environmental degradation. The central problem lies in the disconnection of human beings from the action of the Spirit and from their essence as “beings for the Other, for the Other,” which has led to a reductionist view of nature. The main objective is to analyze this relationship and propose a profound spirituality that integrates care as an expression of self-care toward the greater “We.” The theoretical framework is based on Panikkar's ecosophy, Boff's ecological perception, and Francis' integral ecology. The results reveal that overcoming the environmental crisis requires a spiritual and ethical conversion that prioritizes interdependence with nature and human responsibility for caring for the Earth, overcoming anthropocentrism and superficial consumerist spirituality, a process that must be accompanied by training and education focused on the transformation of the self. The main contribution consists of articulating a pneumatological eco-spirituality that, from the dialogue between theology and ecology, offers a relational perspective to reconcile the spiritual dimension with ecological praxis, contemplation with concrete action, highlighting formation in values of care as an essential path to healing the relationship with the Other, the other, oneself, and the greater We, thus contributing to the field of ecological theology and environmental pastoral care.
