Abstract
En su desarrollo, la psicología ha utilizado múltiples técnicas, formas y elementos de diversa naturaleza que han marcado ciertos cánones en la intervención. Sin embargo, su quehacer no se agota en dichos cánones, sino que por el contrario a cada instante está en la búsqueda de nuevos métodos que establezcan formas alternativas que, a su vez, redefinan la idea de consulta psicológica. Para ello, se han empleado e integrado recursos provenientes de diferentes manifestaciones culturales, tal como lo son la música, la danza, la pintura y la fotografía. En el presente trabajo, se considerará justamente a esta última ―la fotografía― como herramienta de intervención psicológica. Pensar la fotografía y en general la utilización de la imagen como herramienta de intervención en los distintos procesos del quehacer de la psicología, y al entender ésta como una disciplina que está en constante proceso de cambio y redefinición, resulta interesante ya que aporta nuevas formas de entender las diferentes etapas, actores y roles que se involucran en el proceso de intervención.
In its development, psychology has used multiple techniques, forms and elements of diverse nature that have marked certain canons in intervention. However, its practice is not exhausted by these canons, but on the contrary, it is constantly searching for new methods that establish alternative forms that, in turn, redefine the idea of psychological consultation. To this end, resources from different cultural manifestations such as music, dance, painting, and photography have been used and integrated. In the present work, the latter ―photography― will be considered as a psychological intervention tool. Thinking about photography and in general the use of image as an intervention tool in the different processes of psychological work, and understanding it as a discipline that is in constant process of change and redefinition, is interesting as it brings new ways of understanding the different stages, actors, and roles involved in the intervention process.
