Empleabilidad, diversidad funcional y cuidadores; de la sobreproteccion al desarrollo de la autodeterminacion

Abstract

El presente artículo de reflexión permite identificar la incidencia que tiene la posición de los cuidadores para la inserción laboral de las personas con diversidad funcional. Pare ello se realizó una investigación cualitativa con un enfoque hermenéutico a partir de la revisión documental, asimismo se implementó una entrevista a profundidad. Tanto los antecedentes como las narrativas de los informantes son categorizados en Atlas. Ti para su posterior análisis. Se contó con cuatro informantes, dos personas con diversidad funcional, una que labora y es apoyada por su cuidador, la otra no labora y su cuidador no está de acuerdo en que lo haga. Uno de los hallazgos radica en la posición de los cuidadores, influyendo categóricamente en el cumplimiento de los derechos para esta población y vulnerándolos en algunos casos. Se puede evidenciar que aunque se les permite cierta autonomía el miedo es transversal al discurso de los cuidadores, consolidándose como una "barrera" que les impide el logro de la autodeterminación.The present article allows to identify the incidence that has the position of the caregivers for the labor insertion of the people with functional diversity. For this, qualitative research was carried out with a hermeneutic approach from the documentary review, and an in-depth interview was also implemented. Both the background and the narratives of the informants are categorized in Atlas. Ti for further analysis. There were four informants, two people with functional diversity, one who works and is supported by their caregiver, the other does not work and their caregiver does not agree for them to do so. One of the findings lies in the position of the caregivers, categorically influencing the fulfillment of the rights for this population and violating them in some cases. It can be shown that although they are allowed some autonomy, fear is transversal to the discourse of the caregivers, consolidating as a "barrier" that prevents them from achieving self-determination.
