Abstract
As a result of the ruptures occurring in nuclear families in the city of Medellín, perhaps due to changes in the internal dynamics of families, generated by the massive incorporation of women into the labor, political, and educational spheres, changes in sexual values due to the use of contraceptive methods, the influence of feminist movements, the change in gender roles, among others, new family typologies emerge. Among these is the polygenetic nuclear family, which refers to families composed of couples in which at least one member had a previous union, and this research exercise constitutes its object of study. The aim is to elucidate the affective meanings and how they manifest among the members of these families, and for this, contact was established with four families of this typology in the city of Medellín, with the objective of knowing and understanding how affective relationships manifest. This research exercise was carried out in four stages: 1. PROBLEM STATEMENT AND METHODOLOGICAL DESIGN. 2. EXPLORATION AND FOCUSING PHASES. 3. DEEPER UNDERSTANDING AND INFORMATION TRIANGULATION. 4. ANALYSIS OF INFORMATION FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE FAMILY DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL. Next, we will explain each of the previous items and delve into the most relevant topics of this investigative exercise.
